Scott Gleeson Blue

Independent Producer
Marketing and Advertising | Greater Philadelphia Area, US

Summary

As independent producer and the founder of MassGrass Media, Scott works with brands (and the agencies that serve them), causes and entrepreneurs to bridge mass- and grassroots audience reach through digital video. Together, they harness the promise of video, effectively growing and activating 21st Century audiences that behave globally and tribally while seeking uncommon personal attention.

MassGrass Media is backed by Scott’s 20-year marketing communications agency career for three award-winning firms he’s proud to have served – Allison & Partners (San Francisco), Connors Communications (New York) and Zer0 to 5ive (Philadelphia). With each, he teamed with clients across the consumer, non-profit and business-to-business landscape, clarifying and unifying their brand positioning, shaping their messaging and visual identities and then devising and implementing the strategy for taking them to market, which included significant emphasis on video.

Moreover, at each agency, Scott was the go-to guy for producing video across marketing disciplines. That’s because he started his career working in a technical and creative capacities for CNN, ABC Sports and TBS Sports.

In 2007, Scott delivered a special presentation on the basics of building a brand to the China International Exhibition on Housing (CIEHI) as a guest of SourceChina and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Construction of the People’s Republic of China.

In 2005, Scott collaborated with Tom Patterson, partner emeritus, Deloitte and current CSO, MagTek, to author and publish Mapping Security: The Corporate Security Sourcebook for Today’s Global Economy (Addison-Wesley).

Scott has served on the Caltech-MIT Enterprise Forum Executive Committee. He has taught various writing and communications courses at Neumann College (Aston, Pennsylvania), Azusa Pacific University (Los Angeles), Bethel University (St. Paul, Minnesota) and guest lectured at UCLA and the University of Southern California.
